Textile Joinery

Innovative, sustainable fiber design that adds aesthetic value and acoustic benefits

In traditional joinery pieces of wood are cut and fit together without nails, so I coined the term “textile joinery” to describe methods of fabric construction that don’t use stitches. Simple individual felt elements are assembled using various tab and slot connections or glue, to produce complex patterns, textures and dimensional objects. The resulting rich, vibrant, 100% wool surfaces enhance interior ecology and create a valuable connection to the natural world.
